Over 200 persons attended the final dissemination conference of the ESSENCE project on September 27-28, 2021. The event took place in a blended format: onsite at Ural Federal University (Yekaterinburg, Russia) and online on Zoom platform.
Though being the final conference of a particular Erasmus+ project, the event nevertheless has been far beyond the scope of discussing solely the ESSENCE project, its outputs, and outcomes. The conference has become a place – both physical and virtual – where ESSENCE project partners, invited speakers, representatives of academia and industry, as well as students, discussed a number of urgent and up-to-date topics: current trends and challenges of engineering higher education, the role of industry in training highly qualified specialists, quality assurance procedures for higher education, the role of dissemination in EU projects, the impact of Erasmus+ projects on participating universities and many others. The conference program was very intense; the presentations were followed by vivid discussions and provoked a strong interest of the audience.
Along with reports and discussions, a special event was organized for the students: the presentation of the ESSENCE Summer School, the tremendous project activity that took place in summer 2021. The School was very successful and the ESSENCE consortium has decided to hold it on a regular basis.
If you missed the ESSENCE final event but still want to know more about the project and its products, listen to the interesting presentations and discussions, have a look at the agenda (RU, EN), and join the event on YouTube:
