Ural Power Engineering Institute took part in the educational online exhibition RED Expo

On March 15-17, 2022, the international educational online exhibition RED Expo was held, dedicated to the educational programs of Russian universities for foreign applicants for undergraduate and graduate programs.

Ural Power Engineering Institute UrFU successfully presented two new English-language educational Master’s programs in the field of intelligent energy systems: Artificial Intelligence for Power Industry Applications and Energy for Smart Cities link. Both programs were developed with the support of the project “Establishing Smart Energy System Curriculum at Russian and Vietnamese Universities (ESSENCE)” of the program Erasmus+.

The program Energy for Smart Cities relates to the field of Power and Electrical Engineering. The program covers the design of modern urban energy systems, construction and operation of power equipment and ways to integrate modern information technologies into the energy sector. The target audience of the program are bachelors and specialists in technical sciences.

The program Artificial Intelligence for Power Industry Applications is in the field of Applied mathematics. The program gives the opportunity to look at the power industry from the perspective of artificial intelligence application and is devoted to research and development of adaptive systems for solving applied problems of mathematics in the field of electric power industry. The target audience of the program are bachelors and specialists in technical and natural sciences.
